Mrs Frampton has taken over the reins from Bronwyn Ingersole who retired at the end of 2018. She comes to Oberon from Wisemans Ferry, a smaller school with just over 50 students.
"I'm just settling in and the students are fantastic and staff are very welcoming and friendly, she said.
Mrs Frampton and her husband bought a few acres in Oberon 12 months ago because they love the climate.
"When the principal position came up at Oberon Public School I jumped at the chance - it has worked out perfectly," she said.
"My husband has retired after forty years of service in the Australian Army. He has joined the Oberon RSL Sub Branch and we both look forward to getting involved with the community."
