Oberon Dam is currently at 41.16 per cent capacity and Level 2 water restrictions will kick in at the discretion of Oberon Council general manager Gary Wallace when it hits 39.9 per cent.
Council does not own its water supply but leases an allocation from WaterNSW.
Twelve months ago Oberon Dam was sitting at 63.53 per cent while back in May 2010 it fell to 9.74 per cent.
