The new trail, created by staff at the Visitor Information Centre, gives guests an opportunity to visit some of the region's small vignerons and brewers on two select days in April.
The first departure on April 6 was well-supported by locals and tourists, who all enjoyed the beautiful weather and local produce on offer.

FOREST FORAGING
THE Introduction to Forest Foraging session will be held this Saturday, April 13 as part of the festival.

Four-wheel drive foraging tours are departing Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in April. This is a great experience for those wanting to get out and about among the pine forests of Oberon. Seats are strictly limited, so book early.
Those taking part will be treated to a four-wheel drive trip to some of the more remote areas of the forests, where identification and foraging are at their best. After recent rain and warmer weather, the forest mushrooms are starting to appear.
See and learn about the area, enjoy the comfort of a luxury four-wheel drive and have fun. Forage, collect or simply photograph mushrooms in the wild. Take in the sights, the pine smell and the atmosphere of the pine forests. The tour will run for three hours.
