Nineteen teed off in the 12-hole competition. Gary Drueit won nearest the pin on the 17th hole. Joe Commins was too good for the rest; 31 points was a great score for the visitor from Orange. Balls went to Peter Griffiths, Kim Rawlings, Peter Ryan, Barry Stubbs and Graham Hotham.
Saturday was the third round of the championship and also our monthly medal round. There was a good turnout of members, with 36 teeing off. Andrew Yeo was at his best. He had 80/67 to win the A grade monthly medal and put himself in the seeded group for Sunday's final round of the championship. Terry Robinson was the A grade runner-up.
Mick McKechnie had a marvellous round of 96/66 to win B grade. Kevin McGrath was the runner-up. Rob McGrath won the A grade scratch ball and kept himself in the lead for the A grade championship. Peter Ryan won the B grade scratch ball.
The final round of the championship on Sunday had a smaller field of quality golfers to fight for the championship honours. Robert Hayden pulled out all the best of his game for a good round of 72/65. Barry Lang was the A grade runner-up with 80/68.
Peter Griffiths was the B grade winner with 35 points. Mark Mathews was the runner-up. Eric Whalan was nearest the pin on the first hole and Laurie Murphy won the seventh hole.
Balls went to Bob Rickard, Peter Ryan, Mick English, Kim Rawlings, Chris Kalos, Rob Hayden and Barry Lang.
In the final result for the championship, Robert McGrath was club champion on 310. Runner-up was Robert Hayden on 314. The B grade winner was Eric Whalan on 345. Barry Lang was the runner-up on 347. C grade winner was Mick McKechnie.

Golf on Saturday will be an 18-hole stableford event. There will be a two-person ambrose on Good Friday; all comers are welcome.
