Earthworks and landscaping will be undertaken in the next week or so, followed by the erection of shelters and precinct furniture in early May.
The NSW Government has contributed $500,000 to the project from round one of the Stronger Country Communities Fund announced by Member for Bathurst Paul Toole in September 2018.

The Oberon Skate Park and Youth Precinct project involved the construction of a new 542 square metre in-ground, bowl-style skate park, as well as landscaping, street furniture, gable roof shelters and lighting.
Oberon Youth Council actively participated in the community consultation process to design the project, which has an estimated total cost of $529,000.
The facility will cater for skaters of all ages and abilities and will include a beginner level quarter pipe, grind ledges and grind rails around the edges of an intermediate to advanced level bowl.
