OBERON High School combined Harmony Day and The National Day of Action Against Bullying into Everybody Belongs Day this year and it was held on Tuesday, March 19.

The day involved years seven to 10 and was structured as a series of workshops and activities.
These positive psychology sessions were designed to build self-esteem and resilience as well as the acceptance of others.

Activities included creating "my strengths" portfolios, exploring how to boost positive emotions and building mindfulness for life. Year seven students made a "welcoming community" quilt, and others did craft that explored what makes us feel that we belong.
The afternoon session incorporated team building and sporting activities.
Students, in particular the year seven cohort, tackled the day with enthusiasm. Many students developed an understanding of belonging for themselves and how to make others feel that they belong.
The school intends to continue with these annual days.
