The Thursday afternoon 12-hole competition continues to be popular and is complemented by the super six crews. Seventeen players participated. Hugh O'Neil had a good round for 29 points to win the afternoon. Greg Willis was closest to the pin on the seventh. Balls went to Alan Cairney, Peter Griffiths, Andrew Yeo, Don Miller and Bob Slattery.
Members played a stableford event in conjunction with 4BBB on Saturday. Graham Hotham had a good round for 38 points to win A grade. Barry Stubbs was the runner-up on a countback with 36 points.
Peter Hutchinson won B grade with 38 points. Don Miller was the runner-up with 35 points. Don partnered with his grandson Blake to win the 4BBB with a good score of 45 points. Not too far behind was the team of Barry Stubbs and Doug Collins on 44 points.
Nearest the pin on the seventh was Dennis O'Connell. He was unlucky not to have a hole in one: the ball was just a centimetre from the hole. Katie Graham was closest on the 17th. Balls went to Blake Miller, Scott Rowlandson, Peter Griffiths, Kevin Hally, Katie Graham, Doug Collins, Luke Christie Johnston and Peter Hutchinson.
Golf on Saturday will be an 18-hole stableford. The championships will begin on March 30.
