CENTRAL Tablelands Local Land Services staff will talk about pest animal controls and weed management at a workshop at Oberon Showground later this month.

A presentation will be made on Feralscan, which helps map feral animal sightings, and organisers say there will be time to put weed or pest animal questions to all of the speakers on the day.
Organisers say those attending will also learn about the Living On The Edge project and how it can help landholders control pests and weeds on their lands.
"If you have a weed you’d like identified, please bring it in a sealed container," a spokesperson said.
Richard Stephens, who has been appointed the new Landcare co-ordinator for the Lithgow-Oberon Landcare Association, will be at the workshop.
Mr Stephens, who is working out of the Lithgow City Council offices, has a background in agriculture, horticulture and property management planning.

Mr Stephens will also be helping the Lithgow-Oberon Landcare Association develop a new strategic plan to improve land management.
The Oberon workshop will be held on Monday, March 25 from 9.30am.
The program will be: weeds 9.30am to noon; lunch; Living on the Edge 12.30pm to 1pm; and pest animal control 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
