MORE than 1100 casual staff are needed by the NSW Electoral Commission across the Central West for a range of jobs in the upcoming state election.

The election will be held on Saturday, March 23 and 20,000 paid roles are being recruited across the state for employment on election day or in the weeks prior for some administrative jobs.
NSW Electoral Commissioner John Schmidt said no experience was necessary and all training would be provided.
“We are seeking people who are team players, good communicators and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,” he said.
We particularly encourage younger people to apply and anyone who speaks languages in addition to English.

There are 1122 workers needed to fill roles in the Central West. The Orange electorate (201 jobs available) needs the most, but 191 jobs are also available in the Bathurst electorate, which includes Oberon.
Mr Schmidt said it was not too late to apply.
To work at the election, you need to be enrolled to vote.
“Delivering democracy is worthy work and provides people with transferable skills as well as income,” Mr Schmidt said.
