Since 1900, the Oberon Annual Show has been providing residents and visitors from across the Central West an extravaganza of food, fun, competitions, agricultural displays and of course sideshow rides. Attracting over 3,000 visitors on average, this years show is the 119th and has something to offer everyone.

Late last year all eyes were on the Miss Showgirl competition with Ms Bronte Gavey taking out the 2018/2019 title. Other winners included Miss Junior Showgirl Alexis Swaan, and Master Jackeroo Connor Stahl. Fast forward to this year and rides are being erected, stalls set up and last minute entries prepared ready for Saturday’s big event.
There will be plenty of highlights throughout the day including the spectacular none crushing, adrenaline pumping action of live pro wrestling. Matches will be held throughout the day as wrestlers from across the Central West, Blue Mountains and Sydney converge in Oberon. Oberon duo Alastair Mclir and Roswell will be sure to draw a crowd, with Roswell taking on AIWF International champion Keegan Brettle in the main event of the day.

The Farmers Challenge promises to provide some fun competition with a lot of laughs as teams compete for ribbons and prizes. Timed heats will see teams complete challenges such as rolling a swag, flipping tractor tyres, apple bobbing and stacking hay bales, so get some friends together and test you skills
The Oberon Local Steer Ride will also keep visitors entertained as locals battle it out for prize money and bragging rights. With two categories available for entry, 12 to 16 years and Over 16 years, the steer ride will commence approximately 6:30pm. Entries must be in to the show office by 5.30pm with all entrants required at the chutes by 6:00pm.
As dark settles in, the showground will come alive with all the colour of sideshow alley with the sounds and lights of the rides and games filling the air. It’s a great time to find the perfect spot to settle in and get ready for the spectacular fireworks display which will light up the skies above Oberon.
