Starting on October 17 and concluding November 9, Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway had a busy five days with some 410 visitors who enjoyed high tea and a guided tour through the station and rolling stock shed.

All monies raised will go towards a new drawbar which will be used for shunting with a tractor, the drawbar will be fully certified structurally for welds and is an ONRSR approved designed.
OTHR’s committee is working hard to lift the profile of the Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway as part of the planning to run a heritage tourist train along the Oberon branch line.

The Oberon to Tarana branch railway line was Oberon’s lifeline from 1923 until its operation was suspended in 1979. OTHR is working towards re-establishing the branch line to operational standard and operating a tourist train attraction in the future.
