The $80,000 extension has been a long time in the planning. There was $35,000 in government grants, but sub branch members have been busy for many years to raise the balance.
President Bill Wilcox said members thank Oberon Correctional Centre inmates for helping with the painting over two days.
“The team of boys saved us hours of work and got us closer to our deadline for the official opening.”

Mr Wilcox said the military display has now tripled with everything coming out of storage.
"In our former museum we only had four mannequins displaying uniforms, now we have 14 - such has the collection grown.
"Over 80 per cent of items have been donated from locals and we have memorabilia from the Boer War through to the Afghanistan War.
"It's worth visitors and locals to come and have a look at the full collection."
The official opening will commence at 11am.
