Mr Clark said they are everywhere and some are 25 centimetres wide.
"My wife was walking the dog and came back with a few, so I went and collected a few more.
"I thought they may have been of interest to your readers.
"With recent rains and warmer temperatures, the conditions are perfect."
Oberon's total rainfall so far for October is 33.6mm. The mean average is 77.6mm.
In September, Oberon received 66.8mm. The mean average rainfall is 58.3mm.
The forecast is for more showers and afternoon thunderstorms.
Oberon Dam currently sits at 52.67 per cent and falling.
Oberon Council encourages residents to be water wise. Water gardens before 10am and after 4pm. Hand-held hoses must have a trigger nozzle; no hosing hard surfaces; wash vehicles on lawns; fire hoses may be used for firefighting purposes; and new lawns may be watered at any time of day for the first 14 days after being installed.
