Putting themselves forward is a big moment for students who often have not spoken in public or may not have previously been school leaders.
The eight worthy Year 11 students underwent the process of nominations, speeches to staff and the whole school, and the nerve-racking wait for votes to be counted.
Congratulations to Rhydah Leihn and Amy Reynolds for being elected school captains. Congratulations to Baily Nielsen and Susannah Curnuck for being elected vice-captains.
The first official duty for the newly elected captains will be leading the Year 12 farewell assembly tomorrow at 10.15am.

FINAL DAY
TOMORROW is the official last day of school for the HSC class of 2018. Students will still be working hard studying until the HSC exams commence on Thursday, October 18.
Friday, however, will be a time for reflection on happy memories of school, friends made, teachers who have helped them along the way and perhaps a little wonderment over what is to come.
Parents, students and staff will gather at what is often an emotional farewell assembly.
