Kennards Hire was founded back in 1948 and after a brief absence from Bathurst, returned to Kelso almost three years ago. Brenden Molles said the businesses return to Kelso has been welcomed with strong customer demand. “There were branches in Dubbo and Orange but the next closest was Penrith, so there was a need for a branch here in Kelso to help service Bathurst, Lithgow, Oberon and the surrounding region,” he said.

Brenden said warmer weather has got people out and about tidying up their homes and starting their DIY projects. “The recent rain has certainly seen a lot of people hiring equipment such as mowers, trimmers and turf cutters in order to spruce up their gardens for spring”.

Oberon customers can benefit from a great deal that Kennards Hire is running for those looking to hire any equipment, with Brenden saying that they were happy to help out the community where they could. “We know that people try to get a lot of work done over the weekend so we are introducing a ‘weekend hire for the price of one day’ deal for Oberon customers. Basically you can pick up any equipment after 3pm on Friday and have it to use all weekend. As long as it’s back by 8.30am on Monday you will only be charged for one day’s hire,” he said.
Brenden said he would love to see people will take up their latest offer. “We know it’s a bit of a drive for customers to come in from out of town so if we can provide a useful service that people are looking for, then it benefits everyone”.
