Building on the success of last season, the junior Tigers again joined forces with the Lithgow Storm in the 16s, with the side making the semi-finals for a second straight year.
The girls’ league tag competition continues to gain popularity across Group 10, with the Tigers fielding teams in the 12, 14 and 16 year age groups.
Even with a number of first-time players joining this year, the skills shown by all three Tiger teams saw some fantastic wins across the five carnivals played throughout the season.
Mary Maher, Sophie Murphy, Shanaya Brady, Jorgia Mcfawn, Maddie Redmond, Steph Fisher and Molly-rose Stiff were selected to represent Group 10.
The Tigers had eight representative players in 2018, with Harry Sullivan again joining the Western Rams under 16 side for his last year in junior league.
Harry played a starring role in the Rams side which won the 2018 Country Championship against Illawarra, 22-10.
The format for the mini competition changed this year with all teams playing two games each weekend against opposition from the three Bathurst clubs. The mini players’ skill level improved dramatically.
Junior league presentation day is this Saturday starting at 11am. All players, family, sponsors and supporters are welcome to attend.
