“I’m delighted that the Tarana Volunteer Bushfire Brigade has been awarded a $2675 grant under round three of the Stronger Communities Program,” Mr Gee said.
“The funding will go towards landscaping improvements around the brigade shed and help to beautify the area by planting a range of shrubs and trees.
“This is a true community project as the Tarana Community Farmers’ Markets are held here once a month, with the money raised used to support the Tarana RFS and other community projects.”
Mr Gee said the Australian Government has committed $22.5 million to round three of the Stronger Communities Program in the 2017 Budget, including $150,000 towards projects in the Calare electorate.
