It’s a yes: Fluoride to be added to Oberon’s water supply
OBERON Council has voted 5-3 to add fluoride to the town’s water supply after a divisive debate among residents about the dental health measure.

The decision was made at Oberon Council’s ordinary meeting on Tuesday night.
Councillor Mark Kellam, who moved the motion for council to allow fluoride to be added, said his decision was based on sound evidence.
"I've listened to all the pros and cons and all the objective evidence and I've made this decision to fluoridate,” he said.
Council has revisited the issue this year after resolving in 2013, after substantial community consultation and public meetings, not to add fluoride to the water.
