Australian United Timbers managing director Phil Burke is proud to announce the company realised a major achievement in late May by reaching 1000 accident-free days.

Australian United Timbers is the major employer in Burraga and is a locally owned operation employing 23 local residents.
As such, the company’s contribution to the local economy is significant.
“To reach 1000 accident-free days is an outstanding milestone only achieved through the combined efforts of the whole team who worked together and kept an eye out for each other,” Mr Burke said.
He said safety is the number one rule for everyone at the Burraga mill.
“Everyone is aware that the timber industry is a high-risk industry to work in, therefore we are very proud of this achievement.”
To celebrate the achievement, Australian United Timbers held a presentation and barbecue for all staff to thank them for their efforts in ensuring the continuing safety and ongoing success of this local employer.
“A big thank you goes to my incredibly supportive and loyal team for their unfailing efforts over the last three years to ensure that everyone returns home from work safe each night,” Mr Burke said.
“As an employer, this is my primary concern and could not be achieved without everyone focusing on the same goal.”
