SOME of the highlights of last term were Lynne Causer's fossicking class held at Porters Retreat; high tea at Sydmouth Valley, where guests of Lynne and Kevin Webb were treated to some historical background as well as a beautiful afternoon tea; Jenn and Don Capel’s tour of Italy for the Armchair Travellers; and Mark Kellam's talk about his time commanding a fleet of 22 vessels during the Gulf War in 2003.

Members who attended Ros Adams’ scone-making class raved about the simplicity and effectiveness of her recipe, and participants in Dietmar Sajowitz's lawn bowls classes have found a new and very engaging hobby.
U3A is doing its bit to keep members healthy with regular weekly classes in pilates, table tennis, balance 'n bones and Friday morning walks, not to mention the more adventurous activities undertaken by the bike riders who have ventured out to Kanangra Boyd National Park, Canberra, and places like Vincentia just to experience some new scenery.
We are very sorry to lose the services and dedication of Mikaela Piper, our creative arts teacher, who has recently moved from the Oberon district.
