THROUGHOUT term two, students at Oberon Public School are skipping to raise awareness about heart disease.

Over the coming weeks, students will jump daily and collect sponsorship that will go to the Heart Foundation.

Alex Fernandez from the Heart Foundation came to visit our school last week and officially launch the program.

Mr Fernandez spoke about heart disease and demonstrated some skipping tricks, including the ‘'cross over” and the “double under”.

Oberon Public will host a “Jump Off” afternoon on Friday, June 29 where parents and friends will be invited to come along for a skip.

Soccer

THE Oberon Public School soccer team played their first round against Raglan Public School last week and it was wonderful to see fantastic sportsmanship and team spirit in such a friendly match.

Thank you to all the supporters who came along to cheer on the boys, especially in the cold conditions of the day.

Thank you to Mr Sweeney and Mr Cufurovic who coached the boys and refereed the match.
