Women’s golf: some great scores on the course

TEN ladies played for the Monthly Medal last week, which was a stroke game as well as a putting competition.

WELL DONE: Greg Ryan with First National Real Estate second quarter pointscore winners Liz Pollock (division 2 winner), Joan Graham (division 1 runner-up), president Helen Toohill and Flo Spence (division 2 runner-up).

A number of ladies had great scores. However, it was Glennie McGrath who came in with the best. Glennie scored a 70 nett with a total of 27 putts, which put her in the winning position for the Monthly Medal and the putting competition.

Close behind in second was Lyn Prowse with 71 nett and only 30 putts. In third place was Marjorie Webb with 73 nett and 34 putts.

The Golf NSW Fourball Championships 18 hole 4BBB vs Par will be played next week, with the trophy provided by the club.
