As of Tuesday, the dam was sitting at 59.49 per cent of capacity – down 0.51pc from the previous week.
At the same time last year, the dam was at 88.46pc of capacity.
Oberon received only 174.3 millimetres of rain for the five months from January to May this year - well down on the mean average of 323.20mm.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting showers for Oberon for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Due to the dry conditions, Oberon Council has cut the price of potable drinking water by more than 80pc to help rural and non-residential ratepayers.
The water is available at 55 cents a kilolitre for a three-month period, down from the standard residential rate of $2.92.
When purchasing a water card from council, ratepayers will be asked to provide a rate notice and photo identification to confirm they reside in the Oberon local government area.
The potable water station is located on Lowes Mount Road.
