This year’s theme was Polystyrene and the reuse and recycling of waste through arts and crafts. Many classes made projects that were exhibited, including “Dandelions” by 1BM, “Autumn Leaves” by KS and “Butterfly” by KM. Staff and students enjoyed visiting the exhibition.
Oberon High
SENIOR students from Oberon High School joined with hundreds of other students from across the Central West to attend a careers advice day at CSU in Bathurst on Friday, May 4.
Dozens of local, state and national organisations were on hand to advise the students on potential study options post-high school.
Each year students in their final year attend the FACTS Day. It provides an excellent opportunity for them to gather information and talk with representatives from higher education, universities and potential employers.
The day, which is held annually, has helped guide senior students in their study and career choices over many years, with Oberon graduates going on to study at a variety of universities.
TAFE, Verto, Orana Fashion, Australian Defence Force, Universities Admissions Centre, NSW Police Force, University of Sydney, University of Wollongong, NSW Department of Industry – Training Services and the Commonwealth Department of Human Services were among the organisations providing information.
St Joseph’s
A NUMBER of St Joseph’s School students visited residents at Columbia Aged Care to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Students took flowers on behalf of the whole school and shared a high tea and many wonderful stories with the residents. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and found it a very rewarding experience.
