The money is the proceeds from council’s annual golf day held last November.
Council staff member Vicki McKinnon said last year was the 12th Oberon Council Local Government Golf Day and this was the largest amount donated to charity to date.
"We had over 200 participants on the day vying for prizes to well over the value of $10,000. We estimate over $25,000 is circulated throughout the community with everything being sourced locally."
Oberon Can Assist member Katie Maher said they have 12 people on their books seeking help for their costs in health treatment, travel, accommodation, medication and other associated costs.
