OBERON Garden Club members enjoyed a wonderful outing last month, first to Glenburn House, the old School House at Wiseman's Creek, and then to Miss Traill's House in Bathurst, where Spencer Harvey gave us the benefit of his extensive knowledge of the garden surrounding this historic property.

This month, on Monday, April 16, we are going a little further afield to enjoy the glorious autumn colours of Mount Wilson.
Members should leave Oberon between 8.30am and 9am to drive to Mount Wilson.
At 10am, meet at Yengo, 19 Queen Street, Mount Wilson.
This is a superb garden, full of very mature trees and containing an extraordinarily beautiful collection of sculptures placed artfully among the trees and lawn areas.
Morning tea will be provided here and the club will fund the entrance fee for this garden.
At noon, drive to the park for lunch. BYO everything as there are no shops or eateries at Mount Wilson.
At 1pm, meet at Windyridge, 25-27 Queen Street, Mount Wilson. Cost here is $10 pp.
Afternoon tea will be provided in their teahouse. There is also a nursery on-site for plant sales, which is an added attraction.
Please use your list of members' phone numbers to arrange a lift if you do not wish to drive or are making up a carload.
Autumn in the mountains is a magical time and it should be a great outing. Hope to see a big roll-up.
