Welcome one and all to the 2018 Oberon Show.
I hope you all had a great festive season and maybe a little rest from what was a crazy year.
You may have noticed that we have moved the show a week earlier than in previous years. Instead of the third week in February, we are kicking off in the second week of this month.
This was a decision made to get onto a weekend with less competition from other shows.
There have been several changes to our grounds since last year. These include an upgrade to kitchen in the hall, cattle yards, and fencing, combined with the Rodeo and Campdraft our new tiered seating area. So, a huge thanks to those who helped with the grant process and government bodies that have helped.
Thank you to the Oberon Show community for a solid year of planning, it has been a great pleasure once again. I would like to invite you to come and join again next year as we are always looking for new ideas.
Entertainment this year is laid on. Including yard dogs, chainsaw competition, woodchop, horses, ute muster and ute barrel racing. Flair Action, Troppo Magic, steer ride, quick sear, fireworks and a new busking competition, the usual side show alley, and loads more to see and do.
I look forward to seeing you all on the day. Please come to the opening at 12pm to listen to a great Oberon identity open the event.
A special thank you to ALL SPONSORS who have helped financially. Especially the Oberon Council for maintaining the grounds.
