The theme of the festival is "healthy generations" and it will be held at the St Joseph’s School hall and surrounding grounds.
The day will start with a colour run around the Oberon Common at 11am, will return to the school for demonstrations, workshops, stalls and lifestyle activities and will culminate with a picnic, barbecue and pizzas cooked by students.
A popular jazz band will provide entertainment on the school oval at 5.30pm. Bring your chair and blanket and enjoy the festivities.
Organisers are offering the opportunity for stallholders to showcase their service/product to the community free of charge.
Spokesperson Maria McGrath said they are calling out to business houses for any donations of goods for raffles or service vouchers to help raise money and support this inaugural event.
"All proceeds from the day will go towards purchasing equipment for Columbia Aged Care facility, so we are giving back to the community,” she said.
"This coincides with Seniors’ Week and Oberon Council are sponsoring lunch at Columbia and also afternoon tea at the festival.
"This will be a high-spirited, fun festival for all ages to promote positive community lifestyle and healthy choices.
"It will be a day packed with energy and excitement."
Public entry will be by a gold coin donation.
This event will be organised by local community members, St Joseph’s Catholic School, Oberon Council and the Oberon Health Council who are working to bring together a collection of local health options to help raise awareness and availability for community members of all ages.
For more information for stallholders and to donate goods and services, contact Maria McGrath on 0428 356 284 or Racheal Maher on 0407 604 346.
