THIS Friday night will mark the 17th running of the Oberon Community Pace Race Meeting at Bathurst Gold Crown Paceway.

The meeting is always well-supported by the Oberon community and is ranked in the top three of all meetings conducted by the Bathurst Harness Racing Club throughout the year.
The feature race on the night will be the $14,000 Elgas/Mawhoods Mitre 10 Oberon Cup.
The meeting will also feature the popular men versus horse race. Oberon Tigers captain-coach Luke Branighan has organised a couple of footballers to take part.
The Bootleggers will provide live entertainment between races and there will be a jumping castle for the children and fine food.
There are four entrants in the Princess of the Paceway competition: Brooke Booth, Danielle Fisher, Alexandra Sidcombe and Imogin Howes.
“It’s always a great night and one the club loves to run each year,” club president Wayne Barker said.
“The first race is at 7pm and I would like to see as many of the Oberon community as possible there to support the charity meeting and to just have a great night out.”
