“What a fantastic night the judges had looking at the lights and displays, and what a pleasure to see so many homes, shops and families taking the time to decorate and get into the Christmas spirit,” a spokesperson said.
“Santa, who was aided by his elves, greeted many children with Christmas cheer and a bag of lollies. It was pleasing to see so many well-behaved children.”
Oberon Motors’ winners were Cheryl O’Connell, 35 Blenheim Avenue, Burgers family, 41 Blenheim Avenue, Hayley Whittaker and Tim Culley, Dr Perkins Crescent. Oberon Hire Car and Oberon Mini Bus’s pick for their prizes were the Fitzpatrick family, 15 Tarana Road, and Alma Turner, 94 North Street. BWG Haulage winners were Tiffany Warburton, 8 Spicer Place, and Josh and Lacey Fisher, 69 Dillon Street.
“We would like to thank our sponsors Michael and Branka Paterson from Oberon Motors for their generosity, along with Brian Griffiths and Kim Coleman from Oberon Hire Car and Oberon Mini Bus. Brian approached many business owners for their support and we would like to acknowledge their donations,” the spokesperson said.
“Thank you to Jess Foley and Gemma Svocak from Ray White Emms Mooney for co-ordinating the judges and distributing the prizes. The judging panel look forward to this night each year and it was great to have new faces from local business.”
