Flo’s photo has appeared regularly in the ladies’ golf notes this year, reflecting her good form. To cap off a great year, last week Flo competed in the NSW final of the 2017 Golf NSW Women's Medal Competition, representing the Blue Mountains region in Division 3, at Horizons Golf Course, Port Stephens.
The course offered plenty of challenges, including water, diabolical rough and merciless sand bunkers.
Flo acquitted herself very well, out-driving her fellow players on numerous occasions.
Unfortunately, Flo’s memories of the competition will be coloured by the number of bunkers on the course, which proved to be extremely intimidating.
However, just qualifying for the competition was a great achievement.
Flo commented after the game that she is looking forward to playing on her home course, which is, happily, devoid of bunkers!
