Peter Ryan showed his golfing prowess and was too good for the rest of the field. Peter was celebrating a very important birthday in a man’s life, so I think the rest of the golfers thought they would give him a win to celebrate. Balls went to Lloyd Roots, Peter Dale, Sean Mooney and Doug Collins.
On Friday night, club members and visitors were treated to a special meal at the club prepared by the new chef operating out of the club's kitchen. There were very favourable comments on the quality of the meal.
The dining room at the golf club will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Jana Svocak can be contacted on 0407 209 170 for bookings for just yourself or larger groups. The club is available for your Christmas events.
Because there was no golf on Saturday, next Saturday we will play the Monthly Medal stroke round.
Lithgow Golf Club will hold their Open Day on Sunday and it would be good to have as many of our members as possible to represent us. Lithgow are always good supporters of Oberon events.
The following Saturday, December 16 is the club’s Christmas Ambrose sponsored by the Big Trout Motor Inn. The Blackheath Open will be held on December 17.
