THE welcome warm weather last Wednesday saw a good crowd of ladies play in a versus par event. It was a good opportunity to have a last practice before the Ladies’ Open which was held on Monday.

Winner in Division 1 was Wilma Artery, who has been consistently among the winners lately. Wilma came in with +2. In second place was Robyn Slattery with a square and third was Jenn Capel with -1 on a countback from Marjorie Webb. Nearest the pin was Glennie McGrath.
The winner in Division 2 was Flo Spence, who has also been doing well with her golf. Flo came in with +1. In second place was Alma Hotham with a square and in third place was Bev Dale with -1.
Next week will be the ladies’ closing day 18-hole stroke and stableford event with the trophy kindly donated by Robyn Slattery. The Monthly Medal winners’ play-off will be held in conjunction with the day’s game.
The point score trophies, kindly sponsored by First National Real Estate Bowyer and Livermore, will also be awarded.
