A key aspect of the program is the collection of soil from 1699 towns, suburbs and localities that World War 1 enlistees gave as their place of address.
The collected samples will become part of the new display at the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park Sydney.
On Remembrance Day last Saturday, Sub Branch president Bill Wilcox and mayor Kathy Sajowitz collected soil from the Oberon War Memorial.
Soil still needs to be collected from Mayfield and Jerrong and anyone with a relative from those areas who enlisted for the war is invited to participate. Contact the Kathy Sajowitz at council on 6329 8100.

Collection from other localities in the Oberon Local Government Area has been completed.
