A strong field turned up on Saturday to play for the monthly medal in a stroke round that was sponsored by Lithgow City Holden. The Duckmoloi Classic team bolstered our number making a very competitive field.
Kim Rawlings was out early and nobody was able to match his very good round of 75/65, Kim won the monthly medal for A grade and the scratch ball. His playing partner Billy Wilcox had a good day and with 82/66 was the A grade runner up. Alan Cairney won the A grade putting with just 24 putts.
The good scoring wasn't limited to the A grade players, Dylan Harvey, with a fine round of 91/69 was the B grade winner and his playing partner Peter Hutchinson was the runner up with 96/69. Linore Zamparini with a good round of 88 off the stick won the B grade scratch ball while Bruce Amery with 30 putts won the B grade putting.
Balls went to Linore Zamparini, Scott Rowlandson, Marty Hotham, Dennis O'Connell and Laurie Murphy. Nearest the pin on the first was Laurie Murphy, Dennis O'Connell claimed the 7th, Neil Whalan took the 9th and Terry Robinson left his best to the last and was closest on the 17th.
Golf next Saturday will be an 18 hole 4BBB Stableford and individual event. Don't forget Sunday afternoon we are gathering to show our appreciation to Dick O'Donnell for his input to the club over the years and wish him well as he becomes a Bathurstian.
