AT Oberon Council's most recent ordinary meeting, Cr Clive McCarthy moved a motion, which was carried, seeking not to proceed with the Oberon East sewerage project until more options were considered.

Cr McCarthy has told the Oberon Review that the $3.1 million project has to be put on hold until more options are considered and other plans and capacity are sought.
Cr McCarthy said there had been no consultation with affected landowners or those who will be affected in Albion Street and Stratford Downs.
"This is a huge project and I feel there should be more consultation before any project gets the green light," he said.
