The council-owned property consists of 11 bedrooms (all with ensuites), two sitting rooms, two living rooms, staff rooms, kitchen and numerous storage areas.

Managing agent James Walton from Oberon First National Real Estate said they have had a lot of interest as the property is certified class 3 for short and medium term accommodation.

The auction will be held at the Oberon RSL Club on Thursday, June 22 at 6.30pm.

The proceeds from the sale are earmarked for subsidised housing for seniors similar to the low-cost units owned by council in Curtis Street where there is spare land available.
