Skoda Tatra will shortly open a museum displaying their cars and memorabilia about these cars, built in Czechoslovakia. The museum will be built on land adjacent to the railway.
The purpose of the meeting was for members of Skoda Tatra Museum and OTHR to meet and look at how the railway display and the museum will assist each other.
Phil Stevenson from Central Tablelands Chapter of Museums Australia andJohn Glastonbury, president RHA NSW were in attendance and gave some clear advice as to how important a well presented museum is to the tourism of a district. Whether it is displaying railway memorabilia, cars or other items if it is well presented it always a popular tourist attraction.
The day was rounded off by a pleasant lunch and a look around the OTHR displays.

E-COURSE
MANY businesses have taken a small step to embrace social media by setting up a Facebook page, but how deep is the understanding of the role it is going to play in a business? Indeed, why have a Facebook page? Is it working? How many people are connecting with the page? What is the reach?
Caddie Marshall from Adloyalty in Canowindra will be posing these questions at an E Marketing workshop, hosted by the Oberon Business and Tourism Association and Oberon Council on May 25.
Caddie’s presentation will focus on setting objectives and success measures, while also providing help to create content that appeals to customers. How social media fits with the overall business marketing plan will also be discussed.
For further details or to register, which costs $25 per business, call Sharon Swannell 6329 8100.
