Now in its fourth year, last year’s Christmas lunch at Stormwater was a great success, with more than 30 locals sharing good food and good company.
This year they are hoping those in the community who have no family nearby or who may have lost their partner will come along.
Karen Sales of the Stormwater Cafe said everyone will be welcome, and that friendship is the most important thing on the day.
“If you have no family, we can be your extended family and friendship is the most important thing on the day,” she said.
Karen said the purpose is for locals to come and share a meal and have some company.
“Don’t sit at home alone,” she said.
Karen said if people are thinking of coming, it would be helpful if they let the staff at the Stormwater Cafe know for catering purposes.
“Just ring us on 6336 0022 and let us know how many are coming,” she said.
Karen said staff can pick people up on the day, so please let them know if you need a lift.
