Senior Lawyer - Personal Injury

This leading personal injury specialist firm has been operating in NSW for 25+ years, winning over 20,000 cases and recovering $1.5 billion in compensation for their clients. Their founder and principal is an accredited specialist in Personal Injury law. Their practice areas include motor vehicle claims, income protection, professional negligence, superannuation, worker compensation, and will disputes. Their lawyers are accredited specialists in their field and have a hands on, in-depth approach to their matters.

Your new role

• Working on some of the largest and high value claims for plaintiffs in personal injury matters in Sydney
• Assisting the founding Partner of the firm with work on motor accidents, medical negligence and professional negligence matters, public liability and product liability, in addition to a variety of other common law work.
• Hands on drafting of court documents and submissions, and briefing Barristers for more complex matters
• Filing legal complaints, offering legal advice, preparing legal documents and representing clients in court
• Securing justice and compensation from insurance companies for injured parties.

What you'll need to succeed

• Admitted to practice as a Lawyer in Australia with ideally 5-10 years PAE in personal injury law
• Current Australian Legal Practising Certificate
• Excellent legal skills and ability to work autonomously in a busy practice with a high volume of files
• Experience in a similar top performing law firm
• Demonstrate time-efficiency, proactiveness and compassion with your clients
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Hard-working, positive attitude
