Indirect Procurement Manager

Your new company

Our client are a well known global brand who operate in a broad variety of verticals worldwide. Due to growth locally and investment in their procurement function, they're looking to engage a contractor to oversee end-to-end procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of indirect spend, based out of their local office in the CBD.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be the sole stakeholder responsible for all local indirect procurement, overseeing a portfolio of approximately $25m in spend. Categories of interest include travel, labour hire, IT, professional services and fleet.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

• Profiling of spend across categories within your remit with a view to identifying and delivering upon procurement opportunities
• Development of short and longer term category strategies
• Strategic sourcing and market engagement of relevant suppliers
• Management of the Rfx process including preparation of all documentation as well as tender evaluation and award
• Contract development activities in conjunction with legal stakeholders
• Effective stakeholder engagement across a variety of business units to ensure procurement approaches are aligned with overall business strategy
• Ongoing supplier relationship management

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll have proven prior experience managing the end to end procurement process across a variety of typical corporate indirect spend. You'll be able to command respect both internally and externally and be relied upon to deliver outcomes across a spend profile which is reasonably immature within the organisation.

You will act as the sole contributor across your portfolio, so the ability to work in an autonomous fashion will be essential to having success in this role.

While this role is initially offered as a 12 month contract, the plans would be for the successful candidate to be keen to be considered for an ongoing role towards the conclusion of the contract. The successful candidate will be offered an hourly rate of $60-70 p/h + super, commensurate with experience.
