Your new company

Our client is a Victorian statutory body located in Melbourne’s CBD. They are seeking a knowledgeable procurement professional to support compliance and reporting activities, whilst assisting with other procurement initiatives across the organisation.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance, you will facilitate all procurement activities whilst managing and monitoring all documentation.

Key roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and monitor all contract management activities
  • Identify gaps present in the procurement process and assist improving it
  • Work collaboratively with contract managers to update the annual report each year whilst keeping in line with procurement guidelines
  • Ensuring the procurement policies, procedures comply with the VGPB policies, and other Government legislative requirements whilst adhering to changes in policy
  • Updating the procurement register and the annual procurement activity plan as well as regular procurement reporting activities
  • Coordinate and project manage procurement activities with business on procurement activities
  • Load tender documents on the release to market using government panels such as eServices and Buying for Victoria and collate all supplier responses

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will come with public sector experience or similar, operating within a structured, high governance environment.

Key skills/experience required to be successful will include:

  • Experience in government procurement with Victorian Government Purchasing Board Guidelines
  • Understanding the end to end procurement process
  • Have experience working with reporting systems and analyzing data
  • Able to coordinate and facilitate procurement activities
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels regarding procurement matters
  • Well-developed contract administration and interpretation skills
