With staff in Melbourne and Sydney, they are committed to making a difference for their clients, providing opportunities for their people, and delivering lasting change for their community. Due to a period of substantial growth in both the private and public sector, they are seeking to appoint a Property Lawyer to be a key member of the property and development team.

Your new role

• Liaising with clients on various commercial, residential and retirement village property related matters
• Acting for and advising property developers in relation to various projects
• Advising tenants and landlords on complex leasing and licensing matters and documenting those matters
• Facilitating joint venture arrangements and development agreements
• Acting for property owners in relation to sales and acquisitions of commercial, industrial and residential properties
• Drafting standard and non-standard agreements
• Facilitating development work on large broad acre and off-the-plan developments
• Facilitating due diligence, including as part of commercial and M&A transactions
• Providing advice on licensing matters
• Providing general property law advice

What you'll need to succeed

• 2+ years post admission experience
• Drafting property & development documents
• Commercial property experience
• Some leasing background
• Retirement living and aged care experience a bonus
• A client oriented approach with well-developed ability to understand and recognise client needs.
• Enthusiasm and flexibility in approach to work.
• Self-motivation and accountability, with the ability to prioritise work and apply appropriate use of initiative.
• Maintains a high level of professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
• A desire to build strong working relationships through positive and open communication with colleagues throughout the firm.
• A team oriented and solutions focussed attitude
