Proud parents were special guests at the annual Sports Recognition Assembly held last Monday at Oberon High School. During the year students have carried on the school’s great tradition of strong participation and excellence in sport and this special assembly gave the school the opportunity to recognise their achievements.
Students were rewarded in swimming, athletics, cross country and other sports, for excelling at school as well as representing at higher levels.
The importance of physical activity in the development of students as good citizens was highlighted by PDHPE teacher Mr Mitton, who gave the address, reminding the audience of the all-round benefits of participation in sports. The assembly was followed by a morning tea.
