AFTER 11 years of being on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Michael Patterson has called it a day and will not be servicing NRMA's roadside assistance.

Mr Patterson said it had been too hard and with no-one to step in and give him a weekend off, his own business was suffering.
"Motorists in Oberon will now be serviced from either Bathurst or Lithgow's call-out service,” he said.
"I still do long distance towing and I can now concentrate on my own mechanical business as this is my first priority - I'm booked out all this week."
Mr Patterson said the NRMA office is still operating for clients’ claims and insurance needs.
"Nothing has changed, the office is still operating as normal, it's only the roadside assistance that no longer operates."
