We were inspired by the cultural diversity of our students and their ability to respect, support and value each other. Students have been studying many of the countries and cultures where they can trace their heritage.
Our show will commence with a welcome by our students with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage and then our narrators will lead our gathered audience on a journey around the world.
We will be touching on Polynesia, Africa, South America, China, New Zealand and the countries of the British Isles.
Grandparents and parents will be entertained through song, dance and story as we move around the world appreciating the cultural influences that have helped make us proudly Australian.
Operation Art
THE annual Operation Art display at Westmead Children’s Hospital has proved to be a success with students at Oberon Public School.
Phoebe Maloney and Lauren Roels were fortunate enough to have their artworks selected for further viewing.
Phoebe’s artwork has been chosen for permanent display at the Office of the Children's Guardian and Lauren’s artwork has been chosen for Paw Pick and will have teaching notes prepared for use by teachers and other students.
This is a wonderful achievement and both girls should be extremely proud of their creative success.
