Joe Casey showed he could handle the blustery conditions to take the honours. Balls went to Bill Wilcox and Roger Arrow.
There was a strong field of golfers to play an 18-hole stableford and 4BBB event on Saturday. Brothers Bob and David Slattery formed the winning pair in the 4BBB with a fine score of 49 points. Lloyd Roots and Paul Behan combined well and with 45 points were the runners-up.
The individual A grade winner was Barry Stubbs with 37 points on a countback from Dennis O'Connell. Peter Dale showed all his golfing skills to win B grade with 40 points. Lloyd Roots wasn't far behind with 39 points to be runner up.
Nearest the pin on the first was Kim Rawlings with four metres, Bob Slattery won the seventh at 3.6 metres, Rob Hayden was only 92 centimetres from the hole on the ninth and David Slattery hit the shot of the day to two metres from the hole on the 17th.

On Sunday, Oberon turned on a beautiful spring day for the team of golfers visiting from Oatlands.
This was a return visit after the Oberon boys visited Oatlands last month.
Oatlands gave Oberon a bit of a touch-up on their home course and Oberon was determined to reverse that on our home course.
There was a shotgun start so we could all finish about the same time for a meal prepared by the Oatlands chef.
In the individual stableford event, Laurie Murphy played well and with 38 points tied for first with Kelvin Lowe from Oatlands.
Both teams had a representation of ladies. The Oberon team proved too strong for the visitors. We are now square with one match each.
After the game, all the golfers and some of our ladies joined to enjoy a magnificent meal provided by the Oatlands contingent.
Nearest the pin on the first was Barry Lang, Rob McGrath was just 23cm from the seventh, John McKinnon took the ninth and the visiting captain Matt Seamons won the 17th which was a jackpot hole.
Golf next Saturday is an 18-hole stableford. On Sunday, Oberon hosts the Blue Mountains Championships. We need our Oberon golfers to turn up in numbers and show our strength.
