Year 10 students Rhydah Leihn and Malcom Voerman provided the musical entertainment, playing catchy music that at first had feet tapping before some residents broke out the dance moves.
It was a delightful afternoon of conversation and fellowship as the younger generation mingled with the older generation, sharing stories, reminiscences and a few laughs. It was particularly enjoyed by those residents who have limited contact with family and friends.
The event was an initiative of teacher Paula Hotham, and all students who participated were volunteers. This initial visit was such a resounding success that plans are underway for more visits by the students in the future.
