Roger Arrow was +7 after nine holes, but laid off on the back nine to finish on +6.
At the other end of the scale, Neil Whalan was complaining that he had +5 after five holes with two wipes.
He obviously laid off on the next 13 to come home with a mere +9. Talk about doing a Reggie.
The A grade winner was Neil Whalan with +9, while Rodger Arrow was the runner-up on +6. B grade saw Laurie Murphy come in with +6 to be a clear winner from Peter Ryan on +1.
Balls went to +1, going to Hamish Anderson, Dennis O’Connell, Terry Robinson and Dick O’Donnell.
Kim Rawlings thought they should have gone to -3. Don’t worry, lad, once Barry is back they will.
Nearest the pins went to Adrian Poulten with 5.70 metres on the first, Tim Crichton with 1.36m on the seventh (and missed the putt), Laurie Murphy with 0.95m on the ninth (got the putt) and Kim Rawlings on the 17th with 7.91m.
Thursday saw a good roll-up of 13 starters to play a stableford round, with Brian Balaam taking home first spot with 31 points.
Balls went to 27 points for Harold Lyme, Peter Ryan and Billy Wilcox.

It doesn’t matter how bad you think the weather is in Oberon, somewhere in the world our crook weather is actually damn great for a round of golf. We just need to reprioritise our mindset, folks.
Happy golfing.
