Oberon Senior League president Ian Christie Johnston said the event has been running for a number of years and is a good fundraiser for the local charity.
“It is a very good, worthwhile local cause and everyone is affected in some way by cancer, whether it is the poor bugger with cancer or the families, and the Oberon Can Assist group keeps it all in the community,” he said.
Oberon will host CYMS on the Saturday. It will also be the last home game before the semi-finals.
“We will be auctioning jerseys off to interested bidders and that money goes to Can Assist,” Mr Christie Johnston said.
"We urge all sponsors and supporters to show up in force and participate in the auction and entertainment after the main game.
“Last year we raised $11,644 and we seem to raise more and more money every year. Come along and help us do our bit to tackle cancer."
The event will be held at Oberon Sports Ground.
